Nov 13 G Sundiata Gaines signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with Minnesota to provide some instant depth at the position. The coaching staff tried to get him ready to run three or four main offensive sets in the 24 hours prior to the Wolves' game with New York Friday night at Target Center. The move was made necessary due to injuries to G Jonny Flynn, who is still not back from hip surgery, and G Luke Ridnour's bad hamstring. Even backup G Wayne Ellington is out with a bruised thigh.
